About Me

Dogs Live Here

If you don't want to be greeted with paws and swinging tails,
Don't come inside because dogs live here.

If loose hair that doesn't match your clothing or furniture bothers you,
don't come inside - because dogs live here .

If you don't like the feel of a cold nose or wet tongue,
Don't come inside because dogs live here.

If you don't want to step over many scattered toys,
Don't come inside because dogs live here.

If you think that a home ought to smell of perfume,
Don't come inside because dogs live here.

But if you don't mind all of this, you will be instantly loved when you come
inside because dogs live here!

These web pages are not here to show people what I have for sale or studs I have standing, they are a labor of love to show off something that is very near and dear to my heart and that I am very proud of!

My Dogs!!.

Aberdale is a small hobby kennel located in the southern most region of Ontario, Canada, nestled amongst the shores of Lake Erie. I am selectively breeding for sound, healthy, happy dogs that have the ability to work in any endeavor. My main  goal is to consistently produce a sound line of dogs with good health, wonderful temperaments, good structure and true to breed type. I try not to fall into the trap of breeding for the current fad and always keep the standard in mind as I work on my lines. Over the years I have been very fortunate to have had wonderful mentors who have helped me to achieve my goals and keep my direction geared towards the whole dog, not just one part.  I in turn have welcomed novices and am more than willing to help them learn and assist them in any way I can.

I  have been  head over heals in love and  involved in shelties from the moment I got my very first sheltie in July of 1990, Multi HIT Otch. Tam-Ann's Bit Of A Difference Am CDX, FBDM CGC  "Muggins" as a wee puppy,  and during that time I have either owned, co-owned, shown, bred or co-bred several outstanding individuals including Best In Show, multiple Best Puppy In Show, multiple Group and Puppy group winners, multiple Group placers, multiple Breed and Puppy In Breed winners, Specialty winners, a n ASSA National class winner,  a Nationals Award Of Merit,  several American Champions and several major pointed dogs in the US. That doesn't include the countless herding, obedience, agility, and  flyball titled dogs as well including the coveted ASSA VCX.  . I have also excelled myself in the past with my first dogs on both sides of the border in obedience including multiple High In Trials, and I have also dabbled in agility, achieved a  Flyball Dog Masters title, CGC and herding instinct certificates. I have been honored to be the owner and breeder of Canada's Top Sheltie Puppy for 2000, a National AOM and to have owned a National RWD.

I have taught and assisted many years of obedience classes with Debbie Desjardine and the coveted Campaign Dog Academy now located in Georgetown, Ontario and ran with the K-9 Thunder flyball team.

My current love is showing my own dogs in the conformation rings. In the past I have put both Canadian and American Championships on my own dogs, both owned and bred and I have also finished many other dogs for clients in the past.

In 2009 alone I have  9 new Champions both owned/bred and co-owned.

I am presently a member in good standing with the Canadian Kennel Club and the Canadian Shetland Sheepdog Association.
